Teacher education is a varied field that covers numerous subjects and different methods of teaching. Every field has a demand for teachers. Teaching is a challenging task. Some people choose to follow specialized paths such as early childhood education or special education beyond regular education. These teachers require extra educational background if they want to get certified for dealing with specific students. Such type of teachers need to have extensive tolerance to become friends with toddlers. Teachers adopting innovative play way methods can ensure continuing interest among children.

Montessori teaching is another specialized field in teaching. Montessori teaching sounds simple, but in reality it is highly demanding. Montessori teaching is a specific style of teaching, aimed at gifted or advanced students, with a degree of flexibility and customization not found in traditional curriculums. Teachers have to learn the best way to work with the Montessori structure and apply their educational background to this style of teaching.

Elementary or primary school is a mainstay for all people’s education. Elementary teachers must be able to convey basic principles to students, such as Reading, Spelling, Writing, and Maths, as well as Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language course. All of these courses should be taught in an age-appropriate fashion to students. Primary teacher education focuses on methods that work best for young students.

Challenges faced by high school teachers are completely different than elementary school teachers. High school teachers teach kids who deal with the issues of adolescence. Teachers need to find out a way to engage and motivate this difficult age group. Subjects are taught in greater depth in high school, as well as the teacher will need more specific knowledge. High school teachers sometimes have to be ready to compensate for any gaps in education, particular deficiencies in the basics – reading, writing and Mathematics.

Teachers of colleges and universities are highly professional. They teach all subjects to students in an effective manner. Presentations and assignments are often assigned to students in colleges and universities. Students do not need to take tuition while studying in a university; however, a college student may have to take tuition.

The main goal of educating teachers is to provide future teachers or teachers looking to further develop their teaching ability with the skills that they need to convey essential information to their students. Training of teachers will depend on many factors including the age group, subjects, and type of school, college, and university they will be teaching in.
